Teens will have the opportunity to be: MENTEES-guided by our amazing volunteers and MENTORS to elementary and middle school students


Foundations of Mentorship

Teens learn the fundamentals of being a mentor, including effective communication, active listening, and building trust with younger students. This session focuses on the essential skills needed to inspire and guide others.

Conflict Resolution and Problem-Solving

Teens are equipped with tools to handle challenges that may arise while mentoring, such as addressing misunderstandings, resolving conflicts, and supporting mentees through academic or personal struggles.

Leadership and Role Modeling

This training helps teens understand their role as leaders and positive role models. Activities focus on demonstrating empathy, setting good examples, and motivating elementary and middle school students to reach their potential.

Mentorship in Action: Practical Techniques

Teens engage in hands-on exercises to practice mentoring techniques, including leading paired reading sessions, guiding group activities, and fostering a supportive learning environment for their mentees.
